Drip Watering Tips and Gardening Advice

Irrigation, which is an artificial method of watering, is essential for gardening production and the growth of vegetation. Besides other activities, right way of irrigation is a decisive step towards growing and maintaining garden.

Different Irrigation Requirements:

You can not think of offering uniformed irrigation distribution to each and every plant in your garden as, plants and grass have different watering needs. And therefore, you should set your water schedule individually for your sprinkler and drip stations.

Why Trickle Irrigation Systems Only?

For your irrigation task, there are several watering techniques but trickle irrigation is such an efficient one that can benefit you for several reasons.

Imagine the desert environments, where there are frequent water needs, in such cases, drip irrigation and techniques are of great importance. This method uses minimum water and distribute required water to the root level of plants. Thus, there is nothing like waste of water or a chance of over-watering!

Why Different Watering Schedule for Drip and Sprinkler Systems?

Each watering mode has unique dripping style and therefore, you cannot have the same watering schedule for both drip and sprinkler systems.

Your drip system needs to run for longer period compared to your sprinkler system because it offers slow water distribution that will naturally take longer time.

Observe the flow of the water coming out from your drip emitters, and measure out how much time it may take to drench all your plants.

What Amount of Water Will You Deliver?

The right level of water distribution is crucial to nourish the plant roots. Therefore, determine the frequency of your water supply by understanding the requirements.

Compared to sprinklers, micro watering technique needs less frequency of water supply. Your frequency of water also differs according to the seasons.

For the winter, put limit to your watering 1 day per week; during spring and fall, keep your water distribution 2 days per week; and for the summer, increase your water distribution 3 days per week.

More importantly, do not forget to learn the moisture in the soil before beginning you irrigation task. Though garden and lawn care is not hard but taking certain precautions and following certain tips to irrigation products can be useful.
