Obtaining a lovely bouquet of spring bulbs

Spring bulbs are typically planted during autumn where they spend a cold winter, not resting but growing roots, which give them a head start on the spring. Because true bulbs contain a living, miniature plant within, and some stored food in the form of starch, they’re ready to spring forth when conditions are right for flowering. Spring bulbs would certainly be amongst the most favourite flowers because they evoke the joy and romance of spring, and planted in a large group, they create a lovely wonderland of rich tapestry, right in your garden.

One of the most popular bulbs is the tulip. another would be the daffodils. These two have come a long way to represent all the spring blooms that you see around you. The secret of getting such nice blooms in spring, is to get down to work during the autumn months. If you plan early, you will reap the rewards in nice bouquets of spring bulbs by early spring.
