Organic Composting vs Chemical Fertilizers

Whether you are creating a flower garden or vegetable garden, natural compost is the best. Obviously, with organic composting you are eliminating the use of chemicals in the gardening efforts. Chemical fertilizers are generally bad for the environment and can contaminate foods grown in vegetable gardens. Besides being better for the vegetables and people eating them, organically grown foods taste better.

There are several options for developing your own compost pile. Ideas can be quickly found by searching the internet for phrases like build a compost pile. You will get some good basic methods of organic composting that include the use of compost worms to help aerate the material placed in the pile. Some suggest covering the pile for a period of time. But , almost all compost tips explain that you must self regulate what you place in the pile according to where you live. If you live in the suburbs, think twice before putting food scraps in your compost pile.
